Hammer Museum, A Trip to Japan in Sixteen Minutes Revisited

This was hands down the most satisfying artistic scent collaboration I’ve been a part of. When Saskia Wilson Brown, founder of The Institute for Art and Olfaction (IAO), had the idea to recreate a scent concert from 1902, she assembled a group of artists in LA to embark on this journey. I was honored to be included in the group as the perfumer, creating six scents to take the audience through a modern day trip to Tokyo, “A Trip to Japan in Sixteen Minutes Revisited” at the Hammer Museum.  Looking back on that week, I can now fully realize what a moment in time we were creating together.
